Back On Track

Jun 30, 2010

Hey OH Fam.  I haven't been logging on like I should.  So here's an update.

Last Friday, I had all my testing done (My esophagus (sp?), my gall bladder, blood work, stomach bacteria, pregnancy test, etc.).  It took 4 hours for everything and I had to be there at 4:30am.  Boy was I tired and sleepy.  I am so glad that I didn't have to do a sleep study.  I heard those are not fun at all.  According to NeWeigh, I should look to have my surgery somewhere around mid to late September.  That's around my birthday.  So now I'm trying to think if I want to do it before or after my birthday.  What do you think?!?!?

ABOUT MY BROKEN LEG & ANKLE: I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and he said that it was healing perfectly and that I do not need anymore followup appointments with him unless I feel like it.  YESSSS. I have now progressed to just using a cane.  Before the summer is over, I plan to be totally independent!!!

ABOUT MY RELATIONSHIP: My ex husband, who has been so helpful since I had my accident, will remain my ex husband.  We tried to rekindle our relationship only to realize that we have the same issues we had in our marriage.  Can't do the same thing, expecting different results.  I really hope we stay friends tho.  He's really fun (when he isn't lying to me)! LOL

I went to my first group meeting.  It was very informative.  I am getting back on track with my eating and exercising.  I wasn't able to cook for myself or go walking since my accident.  Now that I'm more independent, I can start doing things like I was doing before!

Until next time....
