I Can't Believe This Is Happening

I AM APPROVED.  MY SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2010.  That's less than 2 weeks away.  They offered the 20th but I turned them down because it's too soon.  I need preparation time for work.  Oh yea, THE 27TH IS THE DAY AFTER MY BIRTHDAY. So happy 31st Birthday to me.  I was already having a birthday party now its a pre-surgery celebration as well. I am soooooo excited.  Oh man, now I feel a little overwhelmed with the stuff I have to do now....FMLA forms, pre-op appointment, setting up my clients at work for when I'm away, making sure my kids get to school and back, it just seems like a lot.  I'M SO OVERJOYED.  Can't wait for the new healthy me!!!!!!

Now on to something else....

I text'd both of my best friends to let them know the good knew.  1 has shared my same excitement and has been encouraging me this whole time and was soooo excited when I told her the news.  The other 1, the one I've been friends with since high school, showed no excitement whatsoever.  She's been nonchalant about it since I started my journey because at 1 time she wanted it but her insurance doesn't cover it.  So every time I bring up anything about my WLS surgery, classes, meetings, appointments or just anything, she changes the subject.  It really hurt my feelings today but my other BFF told me not to let someone else get me down because this is for ME.  I need to do something for ME and its not about her.  So no, I'm not upset at all. 

I'm so happy!!!!!
