    Jennifer -- it's 2:30 and I'm hoping you're safely back in your room ... albeit in a little bit of pain! I'm planning on coming to see you tomorrow (don't wanna bug you too bad on the 1st day!)

I am 30 years old and starting this journey, because I want my life to be completed.  I have struggled with mental health and now I have it very much under control.  I feel that this is the last piece to my puzzle.  
My weight has been a struggle my entire life and has caused one of my mental health disorders.  I no longer want my weight to be a burden in my life.  I have tried every diet with little to no success.  The DS is my chance to help me lose the weight I need to start a new life....with renew mental clarity and a new body.   The DS is a tool and I know that I need to follow rules in order to lose the weight and I am ready for that challenge.  I am ready for success.....

I found out on Monday of this week but somehow forgot to post this in my blog!  AUGUST 26th is the magical date when I will be switched.  Here is to hoping for a quick insurace approval so I can keep my date.

LAST NUT APPT

Well, today was my last NUT appt.  She talked to me about the flushing of my pouch, so I knew we were not on the same page.  I listened and got what I could from her information.  She then said she would make sure that she got the information over to Danette.  Submitting for Insurance approval.......

2nd NUT APPOINTMENT with Danielle

Today I went to my appointment with Danielle and all went well.  I was weighed and I lost another 10 pounds!  Yeah, I was so sure that I had gained....I guess I was nervous.  It was crazy to think that I had actually continued to lose weight.  Hopefully I can continue up until I get my surgery,   This of course would just help Dr Buchwald be able to maneuver around my liver a little better.  It would be nice to get below 400 pounds before I have surgery.  Anyway...the appointment with Danielle went well.  She was happy that I had lost more weight and just told me to continue to do what I was doing.  Although she also told me that I had other things to keep working on as well.  The things that she wanted me to work on were not drinking with my meals and to also make sure to chew really well.  I know that they have you practice not drinking with your meals for a reason, but it is really difficult for me.  We as DSers are allowed to drink with our meals, but at the beginning they want you to get your protein in and not be full with liquids first.  I undertand what they are getting at.  So, I guess I will continue to practice.....but know that after awhile I will be able to drink a little with my food.  That is it for today...ONE STEP CLOSER!!!!!!!

Spoke to Danette today

Nothing momentous today but I spoke with Danette to confirm she received my psych evaluation.  Yes, she had.  I told her that I had made the appointments with my NUT and would be proceeding with those two appointments.  I also wanted to know if Dr B wanted any other tests and she said no.  SO, OK just continue with the NUT appointments and contact her after the next one.  That sounds good to me.  She said then she would know about scheduling the surgery and getting approval from insurance all of that good stuff.  Just more waiting.......

Oh, and I think that clacium citrate tablets I am taking are making me constipated so tomorrow I need to buy some benefiber.  That's it.

On my profile picture.  So, I went to bigoo.ws to get some artwork so hopefully this will work.  My camera just has too many pixels and I cannot figure out how to shrink it to fit....ugh!
