Ok...so???....onto the next I guess

Well talked with Medicare today.  They DO NOT cover the VSG.  But after talking with the ppl who manufacter my one Rx. and there could be a problem with it if I have the bypass and the band doesn't seem to be the right route for me.  I may be able to get an exception done.  But first I have to have the surgery and wait for them to deny it.  Which also means that I have to sign the whole "I will pay if medicare doesn't "   Wondering if anyone else has been through this?

But first I am going to see a new sleep physcian who also happens to be a collegue of Dr. Scott.  THAT is good news at least it won't feel like working with two dr's who have no clue about what the other is treating.   SO on that note I should hear tommorrow from the new sleep docs office about an appt.  Planning on seeing him and then seeing his recommendations.  Also, going to postpone the endoscopy appt (haven't scheduled it yet) till after seeing him.  That way I have a better idea of what is to be considered before moving forward.

I really can't see having this surgery if I have to stop this medication.  It is the only medication that somewhat manages the cataplexy episodes.  If I start having these attacks more and more again, losing weight, regardless of the surgery type, will not be possible.  SO I guess at this point I am at a stop sign, waiting for all the traffic to clear.   Hope this doesn't become a permanent thing.   Trying so hard to "keep moving forward" , and very afraid of falling backwards.
