Edward Lin, M.D.
Dr. Lin was extremely nice and ready to answer all of my questions when I first met him. I felt real comfortable with him and I had done research prior to so I knew that he was the doctor that I wanted to perform my surgery.

My new life began on 2/4/2008!

I'm a single, funny, silly, cool, sexy, outgoing, quiet, positive, smart, and happy female.  I live in Marietta Georgia and I'm loving life.  I loved my life prior to the surgery however I determined of all the things that I have to struggle at daily, this is one thing that I no longer have to struggle with.  I decided that I should do something about it and I did.  My family has been super supportive as have my real friends...others...oh well.

I'm a single mother of a very protective 14yr old son,  I work ft, pt, and I'm a student at University of Phoenix online.  I love to travel and shop and shop and travel.  I enjoy doing pretty much anything because I can always manage to have a good time wherever I go.

Let's see how this goes...fill 5
Well I had my 6th month check-up and had a fill of 1.6cc's and man can I tell a difference.  I attempted to eat a California roll and had to stop at 2 pieces.  My attitude is back to the positive side so hopefully more weightloss to come!

And the fight continues.....
on August 1, 2008 9:40 am
I'm just coming back from purchasing yet some more jeans and I can't say that I'm thrilled by my current size....honestly I don't even see a difference.  I'm at my usual stopping point that I always get to when I'm dieting however I'm going to try not to get down and out about it.  I go in on the 27th of this month for my 6 month check-up so we will see.  Maybe it's time for another fill although I still have that feeling when I eat and it hurts like hell when I eat bread, rice, or pasta so I think it's doing what it's suppose to do...I just need my body to let go of this weight and I will be good.

Fill 4 and counting!!!!!!!!!!
on May 24, 2008 7:27 am
Ok yes I know it's been a while and after checking my messages on here I had to be fair and update everything since everyone is asking.  Number one, yes I'm still alive.  Ha!  Life has taken over and I'm just blowing in the tailwind of it.
I'm on my 4th fill and I'm soooooooooo trying not to get discouraged.  I have stopped weighing myself because I'm to the point that if I don't see that 1 to 3 pounds gone by the end of the week, I'm in depressed mode.
I know it takes time to get the band just right and all of that mess and I know that the weight is suppose to come off slow...but DANG...I just want to see it.
I will have to take some full body pictures this weekend and post them.  I can't see a pound gone from me however my friends and family say that they notice a difference...I actually have a waistline now although I can't see that either.
This year has really been the year for my life to change from one spectrum to the next however change is always good and I'm not going to complain...well I might just a little. :o)

I'm not gonna do it
on March 5, 2008 7:48 pm
Ok I've made myself a promise to keep my azz off of the scale because it's depressing!  I'm gaining wait back, I need my fill like quick, fast and in a hurry!

I've had a lot going on lately with some really close friends of mine and everything is going through a lot and in turn, I'm eating what seems like anything and everything that I want!

I am trying to drink more water to help fill me up however that's not working...I guess the stress of everyday life is getting to me and I'm eating to make everything ok.

Ugh.....only a few more days!!!!!!

My Story

My story.....hummm...well let's see.  I've ALWAYS had an ongoing battle with my weight.  When I was in high school I could run or do sit-ups for like a week straight and lose my stomach however all of that changed in 1993 when I gave birth to my son.  During my pregnancy I gained 111 pounds and haven't lost it since...well I lost maybe 30 pounds of it.
I'm tried everything that you could think of with the exception of a cocaine addiction.   I've tried Jenny, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, etc. and honestly the only thing that did work was working out with a personal trainer and eating right.
Working out did work for me UNTIL I had a back injury out of no where which ended up being a disc issue, weight related.  I stand 5'9 and my weight was around 276 at the time which was pretty good for me.  I've never had an issue holding all of this weight and really I don't even look like I weight as much as I do however, not being able to work out for 3 months put me where I was on the date of my surgery, 296 pounds and counting.

So....Feb. 4th, 2008 is the beginning of a new me!  Check my blogs regularly for updates!
