Very Depressing Night
Oct 06, 2012
So yesterday I went and picked up 2 foster dogs from my local pound. One had been hit by a car, the adorable Ms Sadie, she was in bad shape but they just needed someone to keep her until today, where the rescue team would come get her and take her to proper vet care. I also picked up Mr. Bob an adorable and very hyper doxie chihuahua mix. We got them home, and we set Ms. Sadie up on an old futon mattress in our living room. Bob was out in the backyard running laps with my MJ.At approximately 1am, we went out back to check on Bob one more time before bed, and when we came back inside Ms. Sadie had passed. Very depressing. But the good news is that Sadie's last six hours were in a warm home where people were loving her and petting her and she wasn't alone in a kennel at the cold pound. We didn't get to save her, but we did make the end of her life better.
Bob woke me up at 7am ready to use the facilities and play. After only getting to bed at 3, I was not loving Bob at 7.
Now I'm awake and Bob is cuddled up asleep with my daughter watching Happy Feet Two. Not sure how this works.
