Just FYI on Texas Medicaid

07/23/12I have a little bit more information on Texas Medicaid. I called my doctor's office and asked more questions. I was told that TX Mediciad requires 6 months of doctor visits and testing. So, once a month I will see a member of their staff to do testing for diabetes, sleep apnea, etc and meet wtih a nutritionist. Once these requirments are fullfilled, they submit everything over the Mediciad for approval. So far they haven't had any problems with getting approvals for this surgery, which was really nice to hear. At least I can stop driving myself crazy for a little while. Oh, and a refereal from a PCP is not required :)
