Surgeon Testimonial

B. Dean McDaniel, D.O.
I have only met Dr. McDaniel once at the consultation but I was very impressed with him at the time. He was very matter of fact and direct. He was able to quickly answer any questions that I had. He did not make me feel uncomfortabe about wanting this surgery and not being able to lose my weight on my own. He stressed the importance of exercise and the fact that this procedure is only a tool. His office staff was very friendly and helpful; especially Ann, who works with the insurance. I will post more when I get my insurance to approve my surgery and I meet with him more. I now have more questions to ask as I have researched the procedure more.

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I was very depressed because I could not loose any weight and/or make myself stay on any diet. I would do great on a diet but after about two weeks I would go off. The most I ever lost was about 15-20 lbs. but I would soon have them back on plus more. Toward the end I was having a very difficult time sleeping at night, bending down to pick up things, putting on my pants, NO ENERGY AT ALL, and alway irriable (sp?). In fact all my clothes were again getting to small especially my pants. I was in the largest size pants that could be found in regular stores (size 28) and even then I had a difficult time find ones that really fit. All this added to my depression.
