I started my journey 3 years ago, just kinda reading info and getting knowledge. I think the reason I finally had it was because I was having problems walking and moving. My feet hurt, I had broken both my arches, which was extremely painful, and my legs would fall asleep from the weight of my stomach being on top of them. I finally started my journey in July of 2011 and started the pre-op diet in august. I lost 73 lbs all on my own before my surgery! I knew if I could follow that plan, I could be successful with my gastric bypass.

I had my surgery on November 30th 2011. At first I was like, what have I done?! But after a week I started feeling normal. My 3rd week I stalled, and I thought, this isn't working for me! Oh no! But in the end I knew it was normal so just kept drinking and eating right. I lost like 20 lbs the first month, and thankfully I was on here a lot so I read everything and knew what I should be expecting. It was and is a great help. I hated the 2nd food stage. I couldn't stand anymore cream of "crap", as I called it. I couldn't wait to get outta that stage. I am now 3 months out and doing good. I haven't had any complications and I'm glad I had this surgery. I'm down 115 lbs altogether. Even now I see huge changes. My feet don't hurt anymore. My legs dont either. I can walk for hours now and not need to take any breaks. I can sit in booths, tie my own laces, I could even do pull-ups! It's been an amazing journey so far! I look forward to seeing the end results.
