Keith Millikan

"He came highly reccomended and has answered all my questions in an honest and understandable manner. His assistant Lisa has been very helpful. She has tolerated my many phone calls and responded each and every time with kindness and compassion. I had 11 pre-ops. I did feel this was a bit excessive. Being that I have been in good health my entire life, it was difficult for me to be poked and prodded week after week. I have learned since then that this is not unusual for WLS. It just seemed to be rather taxing. I am now about 3 months post op and wanted to update my comments. At this time I have to say i am considerably less pleased with Dr. Milliken and his staff. Now that the surgery is over and the hospital has the $65,000 for the surgery, I get treated like an annoyance with NO support and little if any aftercare. The dieticians I am assigned to are worthless and know less than I do about the surgery and lifestyle changes that need to be made. For example, my new dietician gave me the great advise to drink with my meals!!! The number one NO-NO! He provides no support info or groups for aftercare. Other than the idiot dietician he assigned me to I am just supposed to show up every 3-6 months for a blood test. I expected more for my money, and I expected more concern for my well-being. I would not reccomend him."

Rush Presbyterian St Luke Medical Center

"It is a truly amazing place to visit. The grounds strech for several city blocks, the hallways seem neverending, getting from one pre-op to another then back to your car can take a compass, a map and a homing device. It is very impressive. To date, every staff person I have met with - be it a surgeon or a lab tech or an admissions processor - has been helpful, comforting and polite."
