Welcome to my journey...
I have my first consultation with Dr. Bauman scheduled for September 3rd! I hope to have all my labs and visits done by then.
I had my consultation with Dr. Bauman - he is great! They have sent my letter and I am just waiting for approval. But I think it is going to go through. I am starting to get really excited - as soon as I get approval they will schedule my surgery! If anyone is considering Dr. Bauman - I would definitely recommend him!
Well, good things do happen to those who wait - I was APPROVED! They sent my letter out on Sept. 7th, and I was told it would take 30 days. But, after only 10 days I had an approval letter in hand! I am soooooo excited - I can't wait to get a date set!
Well - and it happens once again! I have a date! October 27th is the day I start anew... everyone keep me in your thoughts!
Well, I know I haven't updated much, but I've been busy. I am 4 days post-op and doing fine. I am tired and sore, and ready to have these staples and drain taken out! :) But I guess I will just have to wait until Wednesday! I'll try my best to update from now on!

I am the world's worst about updating this thing! I am just over 8 weeks out - and let me tell you it has been GREAT! I have lost SEVERAL inches all over - AND I AM DOWN 50 POUNDS! I have accomplished in 2 months what I have not been able to do in years!!! But I really do feel good - and I looking forward to a Merry Christmas! Now, I just have to deal with the saggy pants!!! (that's one problem I can live with!!!)

Okay - I know I am not good at regular entries... But I stay so busy! It's really nice to be able to do all the things I couldn't before! I am just over 10 months out and I have lost 126 pounds and I am in a SINGLE DIGIT pair of jeans!!! SIZE 8 - WOOHOO!!!
I canot believe how far I have come in less than a year!!! I am a new person inside and out. Now, I can't say that it has been easy, because this journey has been one of the hardest things I have EVER done. But I have reaped the benefits of surgery! I only hope that all of the other people out there just waiting and fighting for approval will eventually join the losing side! Maybe I will be a little better at keeping this up - but probably not!

Well, as for updating... I know I am the worst. But I am getting so close to my one year that I thought I would shed some light on my current progress. I have lost 137 pounds so far and I am in a size 6!!! AND... we are going to try to have another child!!! I am sooooo excited! I will have to update again next week with ALL of my measurements!!!

I am working on getting LOTS of new pics, and I will post my almost 2 year post op measurements as promised. Other than that - nothing new to speak of. Down to about 134 and holding steady.
