"My first impression of Dr. Anez was he appeared to be a nice person and after speaking with him I noticed he's a man of few words. He explained the surgery he performs and answered questions I had, but he was very direct. His office staff was okay and appear to be a bit overworked and should inform patients before they arrive of the $200.00 processing fee you must pay before they'll submit your paperwork to your insurance company. I was not informed of this before hand and didn't know anything about it until after my consultation. I think this is unfair to patients who may not be in the predicament to pay that fee at that time and thank God I'm one who was able to do so, but I can imagine some people are blindsided by this. During my consultation Dr. Anez did emphasize the risks of having the surgery which I appreciated and he did touch a little on things I will and won't be able to do after surgery (not much but he did mention a few things). Future patients should know that he appears very competent but I get the impression his bedside manner is lacking, but that's okay with me because I'd rather have a doctor who's extremely competent. I also gathered he does have a aftercare program (the Staple Club) and he recommends you attend before surgery and afterwards."

I had never been to a psychologist before but he made me realize that they are there to "listen" and after talking with him for a while I now have a different outlook on psychologist.
