Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Feel free to look at my profile and see my ups and downs and know I’d not change a thing with anything I’ve experienced. Woooohoooo, <b>Congratulations</b> it's finally a "reality" and your day is right around the corner! This is a second chance to LIVE life again. No words can express the freedom that comes with this surgery. Walk as much as possible after surgery. It'll be tough at times and you'll find that you'd much rather cuddle with your pillow then get out of bed. Don't!! Get up and walk, walk and walk it'll help with the overall surgery and recovery results. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, <u>YOU are worth it.</u> Also, let's not forget your new best friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. There is a learning curve, per se', with this surgery. Don't expect to have it all down to a fine art immediately, give yourself a 90 day grace period that comes with a deadline! One final thing, <b>CELEBRATE</b> all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on <i>numbers</i>, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by. ~~~~CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY. ~~~~ May God give you courage, strength and guidance throughout your new journey. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Prayers that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands and you have a speedy recovery. . Remember your not alone in this journey, many of us have been down this road, we are here to offer love and support. Looking forward to hearing from you on the loosing side. Hi Willby I wanted to let you know how very happy I am for you that you now have a surgery date. Everything will go just fine and you will be on the losing side in no time. I wish you an uneventful surgery and pray that god be with you and guide your surgeons hands during this time and that you have a speedy recovery.
