Jim Valentine

"At first Dr. Valentine may appear to be a frank and to the point doctor. But I feel that he has to be for patients to get serious about this type of surgery. It is nothing to take lightly. Once you both get to know each other and get down to business then the tension eases. He is a very concerning, loving surgeon. He takes detail in his work. He won't take on anything he doesn't feel he can't accomplish. But he is also up to a challenge. I am very glad that I choose Dr. Valentine. Him and his staff are wonderful, they are always willing to help. They all seem to be knowledgable in the surgery and its aftercare. Dr. Valentine is willing to take whatever time is needed with his patients, I think that is his biggest attribute. So many doctors are in a hurry, but he isn't he wants to make sure that you understand everything. I would recommend him to anyone, and I have. I give a big thanks to him and his office staff. I am looking forward to a better life ahead of me. THANKS A BUNCH!!!"

Mercy Medical Center

"Overall, my stay was pleasant. There bariactric specialist was very, very nice. She was very willing to please. There were a couple other nurses also that obviously have been trained on obesity sensitivity. As for the CNA's I think they could use some better training in that area. I also believe that there should be better privacy when entering a patients room, for example a drawn curtain. There were a few times I had to wait over a half a hour for someone to tend to my needs, that shouldn't be. Also when I 1st got to my room, the compression stockings were to be started and I was to be instructed on the inhaling device, neither were started until 8 hours later. After my family arrived and brought it to the nurses attention. Just a few notes of places that could use improvement. Would I come back, probably. Thanks Jennifer and Jana."
