Yesterday & Today...

Jun 09, 2011

Well, I went in for the first meeting with the surgeon after the big informational meeting. He's a super guy, very easy to talk to, knows his stuff. My health is good, so he thinks I'm an excellent candidate who should not have the risks that heavier patients do. I know I shouldn't gloat, but it was super nice to be called one of his "smaller" patients. Makes me sad for those that are more uncomfortable than me in their own skin, however.

So today I got a call from the patient advocate. Bless her heart. She's so nice.

Then I got a call from the psychologist's office. I put them off for a bit since school is out and I'm not sure when I'll have my tween babysitter and when I won't. I have six months to get it done, so when school is back in would be better for me.

So now the nutritionist. I meet with her on June 30. Yay! It really is puzzling that they require you to be on a six month medically supervised diet, when dieting is only part of the probably and I've had limited success with it in the past.

Enjoy your day!
Sandi
