Jonathan Ray

"My first impression of Dr Ray is that he is a bit odd. I mean that in a good way. He did not seem arrogant at all and seemed to be laid back. His office staff is friendly but very busy and I wish they had time to give you more one on one attention. Dr Ray stresses the importance of after care and encourages his patients to go to the support groups. I hope to attend the next one next month. He makes you take a test to ensure that you are aware of all of the risks. My surgery seemed to go okay. I was disappointed that he did not come back to check on me afterwards. He told my family that everything went fine, but I expected to see him again. The first shift nurses were very helpful, but I cannot say the same for the second shift. The LPN seemed to \"forget\" that I was a bariatric patient and offered me Sprite and a pain pill. I was told I could go home at about 6pm the same day as long as everything was fine, but I did not get to leave until 1030 - that night which by that time the pharmacy was closed. This really ticked me off. I just wanted an answer either way because I needed to make further rnarrangements for my kids. I think the nurses just forgot. Finally at about 830 I asked them to call Dr Ray and see what the deal was. Overall, I am pleased with Dr Ray so far. rnrnrn******UPDATE*******rnI went to the support group last week for LAP band patients and was very impressed to see both Dr Ray and Dr Colquit as well as the nutritionist there. They are so much more supportive than I orginally thought. They stay to answer questions and the nutrutionist Angie Stewart runs the group. What an awesome team!"
