What to expect/duodenal bleeding ulcer

Feb 25, 2018

Hi, I am post Roux n y x 12 years, needless to say, it did not go well. I vomitted everything I ate from the first try. My sister had her surgery the same day as me, same doctor, and she was eating solid food two days later. It took me more than 2 years to learn how to eat, and my weight loss was long and ungratifying due to how aweful I felt from vitamin def. . Anyway, I did go from 447 pounds down to 98 pounds at one point, after years of trying, and I did it by eating a lot lot lot of Salmon, rice and veg.

For some reason when I started eating this particular fish, my ability to keep food down increased, and my weight decreased, like melting butter. I kept a full plate of food in the microwave, started about 11 am (late riser), and ate a few bites just standing at the micro, through the entire day. Eventually I was ok to eat some fruit and toast etc., but the fish and chicken on other days, was my life saver. I ate almost NO bread, except for an occasional toast, and today I would recomend to all patients, stay away from all yeast, and any pastries etc. that plump up, cake, muffins and such.

So the reason I am here is this, I found out that the surgeon took out 4 feet too much of my upper intesine, and made my stomach the size of a walnut. Back then they figured that the bigger you are, the less you should eat, but that only resulted in my not being able to obsorbe enough protein and vit.

I ended up gaining back weight, and went up to 300 again after taking Serequel. I was so upset, and still can't get it all off again, but I also ended up with a large bleeding ulcer. Due to the fact that I was fat again. they did not believe that I could not eat at all, and I starved for 3 months with NO food. I ate exactly one pudding, sucked on one orange, had one freezy, and 5 cup of soups in three months, NO LIE. Hence to say, I ended up having a seizure and my heart stopped from potasium and thiamine defeciancy, and I was paralyzed from the ribs down entirely.

They said they cautorized the Ulcer, but I have no memory of the first month in hospital. I was in for a year, and eventually learned to walk a little. I still can't feel my legs under the knee, or my fingers at all.

SO HERE I AM,HAVING THE SAME PAIN, NAUSEA, VERTIGO,DIZZINESS, FATIGUE,FOOD OVERSION ETC.AS i HAD WHEN I GOT THE LAST ULCER. And again..I AM VOMITTINE A LOT OF BRIGHT RED BLOOD.

WEll guess WHAT?? THEY DON'T BELIEVE ME AGAIN, AND SENT ME HOME WITH NOTHING AFTER 10 HOURS IN ISOLATION IN EMERGENCY LAST WEEK. EVEN WITH MY HISTORY, I DIDN'T VOMIT IN FRONT OF THEM,SO THEY DID N O T H I N G!!!!

WELL , I am going to go back to emergency every single time I vomit blood, in an ambulance. I am balcking OUT..I have severe pain, and can't stay awake. My pharmacist sais I am losing too much Iron, and it has to be fixed NOW..soo

what I NEED TO KNOW IS< Do I have to stay in the hospital if they cautorize it again? if so about how long? I have animals and no family now to help, so I have to prepare. I have bagged up the last vomit episode in a zip lock to show them, and I expect that my family doctor will now tell them to go ahead. But I am afraid to leave the animals alone, what if I am gone a week?..can anyone tell me if they will keep me over night?..or can I just come home to rest afterwards???..let me know your experience with this please, because tomorrow I am goinng in, to be there and ready for monday..thanksss..xoxoxo
