Had Surgery 4-16-18 Now 3 weeks post op!

May 07, 2018

I had my surgery 4-16-18 in Scottsdale Honor Health with Dr Swain, surgery weight 231.5.Everything went very well, Glory to God! \o/\o/\o/I was released from the hospital at 7pm the following night on 4-17-18. In the hospital, walked every hour, drand 3 bottles of water thru out the day, had jello, and broth. Sip sip sip!Next day filled my prescriptions, which was a liquid pain reliever and a anti acid reducer. I took the pain reliever only at night to help me sleep better and more confortably for two nights and then was off it. I was on liquids only for one week after surgery and then went to a post op class where we were intoduced to food. I had cottage cheese and refried beans my 1st meal and it was delicious.  Since then I have been eating softer foods, chicken, fish cottage cheese, eggs veggie sausage, ETC. Constipation has been an issue, my surgeon had me do Milk of magnesia in a triple dose and it did the trick. Now taking probiotics and putting opticlear fiber in my tea and water. This week all is running much better. Yeah! I am walking twice a day. Every other day going to the fitness center, treadmill and bycicle. This week starting upper body light weights. I am feeling awesome!!! I now weight 222, a loss of 9.5 Pounds since surgery. Hoping to loose better this week now that my system is moving more effeciently.

Month 2 Med Weight loss of 4

Jan 16, 2018

I am starting my Month 2 of 4 Medical weight loss program to get approved for insurance. My surgery consult I weighed 242.5. I also had a consult with the nutritionist same day. I thought that was the offical start of my 4 months which was Nov 29th 2017, but I had to make an appointment to start the medical weightloss 2 weeks later, which was dissapointing. I was ready so I started eating better. My 1st offical weigh in with nutritionist I had lost 4 llbs. They were very happy with me. I had a horrible month in december. Lost .50 llbs with was acceptable. So this month more motivated, and just starting to exercise. Starting with 3 walks a week. I want to increase it to 5 walks and add zumba classes to the mix in a week or two. Also gonna start abstaining from drinking with my meals starting tomorrow.

I really want to loose 10-20 pounds by end of this medical weightloss program and get my heart in shape arobically for the operation.
