James Stone

"Dr. Stone is honest and gets to the point. Some patients may like friendly banter with their doctors, if so he is probably not what you are looking for. That is why I like him though. I just want to get to the point. The lady at the front office window was extremly nice and helpful. She seemed genuinly happy for me, and when another patient was tired of waiting and started being rude with her, she was able to make them smile too, without being rude or aggressive back to them. I don't like the woman who does the scheduling very much because she is really rude and I figured that's how the rest of the staff would be, so I think she makes them all look bad. I know Dr. Stone is a very good surgeon because I have heard nothing bad about him at all, and he hasn't had any problems thus far with bariatric surgery, yet he stresses that there will be someone one day who has a complication. I like his honesty, intelligence and I feel totally comfortable letting him do this procedure. This will be my first surgery ever, and I am not nervous for him to do it.He's a great doctor, and that is what is important. I don't depend on doctors to be friendly and outgoing, because that's usually what the nurses are like. I am more concerned with being safe and in the right hands, so surgical competence is by far more important. I am not trying to befriend a person I will only see every six months or so, and if he tried to, well...he'd have way to many friends!"
