I wonder why there is so much information that differs, from surgeon to surgeon.  For istance; Dr Joya said once you start "forever food" no more protein drinks.  That we "banders" eat enough protein and we absorb things just fine.  Also, I am not to have a fill in no less than 3 months.  American Dr's I have seen give fills as early as 6 weeks.  What is up with that?  When I asked someone, they said.  Think about it, American Dr's are having their pts come back soon because they want to make more money.  Mexican Dr's don't make anymore money from you, they got theirs' and that is it.  You have to go somewhere else to have your fills where someone else makes the money.  Is that what the drive for fills is?  Just curious??

On another note..I went to the gym yesterday and worked with a trainer.  She did measurements since I hadn't had any since just before surgery.  I lost atleast 1/4" from everywhere.  My hips....4.5 inches!!  Couldn't believe it.  I have decided instead of weighing monthly I am going to do it every 2 weeks.  This way if I am gaining, then I can fix it before I get out of control.  So, I am going to try to go in early Tuesday morning before I go to work.  Today and tomorrow are going to be a light eating day...no salt anyway, don't need the H2O weight.

So, I have been waiting and it has been killing me....to weigh.  I like most others on here have had such a tough time losing weight.  Well, I went to the gym this morning for the sole purpose of doing my 1 month post op weigh in.  Well what did my amazed eyes see???  A 26 LB LOSS!!!!  I couldn't believe it!!!!  YIPPIE!!!  I have downloaded my updated pic as of this morning too:):)  I love my band!!!

So today I went back to work after being off for 2 1/2 weeks.  I haven't had my scrubs on since before surgery.  I had on a pair of pants, crowched down to get something out of a bottom drawer and split the crotch out.  So, in the dark trying had not to wake my 3 yr old I reached into the closet in hopes of grabbing a pair of pants that fit.  I grabbed a pair that have never fit.  Guess what !!!!  THEY FIT...NOT only did they FIT!!  They are actually saggy on me!!!    I have no clue what my "number" is but I know I have lost, that is all I needed to know.  At work everyone noticed the differenceTonight I start on the mushy stuff.  YEAH!!!  No more liquids only

So, I passed 1 week, 3rd week on liquids!  Finally done.  I started on full liquids last night.  I had a soy free dairy free yogurt made of coconut milk.  It was very good.  I think I may have eaten too much.  I had that first post op gas feeling?  You know that kind that goes to your shoulders?  It is gone this morging, but I am not hungry in the least bit.  Is this normal?  My family is starting to see changes!  Awesome!  The otherday I walked passed the mirror and caught my face in it, it seems to be taking on a slimmer me!!!  I hate that I am always the last to see the weight loss, but I guess as long as others see it and my clothes notice it too, that is all that matters.
For healing, going good.  It's just reminding my 3 yr old that I can't pick him up or carry him.  And that he can't use my stomach as a launch pad anymore.  Whenever I remind him, he wants to see the owie, has to touch it then makes a funny face and asks me if I am ok.  Too sweet.
I haven't weighed since being home from surgery(we stayed in Puerto Vallarta for 4 days)I am trying really hard not to buy a scaleI would obcess about the number.  But I feel myself wearing down.  We'll see how long it takes for me to go buy one.  I guess if I were back at work I wouldn't worry about it.  I am a nurse so I have access to scales all day, not sure if that is a good thing or not.  We'll see.
Going to visit family tomorrow in Eastern Wa.  Me and the kids are going to give dad a break.  My aunt is an awesome cook and always does up the best breakfast, I hope I can stay strong and only eat my liquids....
