My journey started in late Oct. 2015 by going to a seminar at a local beriatric center, the next week I met the Dr. and Dietitian. I weighed in at 372 lbs,  and after meeting with them I got serious about doing this, I cut out all sodas, fast food, bread,  pasta and sugars, after 3 months I have lost 40 lbs but my insurance requires that I be under a doctor monitered diet for 6 months snd loose 10% of my body weight first. So I got the 10% done and  will get a colonoscapy this week and the psychological evaluation next month then I should get my surgery date. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, that is why I joined this support group, to know exactly what to expect and have people to talk to. My wife is very worried (she worries about everything) so I want her to know what to expect also. It has not been easy, but at the same time I did not get this big overnight, I have a bad back and a bad knee, but as the wright is coming off I am getting more active and feel a little better each day.
