Confused
Apr 18, 2016
Hello everyone,
I have been wanting and needing weight loss surgery for years, now my insurance is finally going to help pay for most of the cost. It requires that I be under a doctor supervised plan for 6 months, that is where I am, I have had my physical, a colonoscopy, lost over the required 10% weight that I neede and just did my psychological evaluation completed. I go to the doctor this week for my 6 month exam and he will send the results to the insurance for final approval. Now here is what I am confused about, do I get the sleeve or the bypass? I had decided on the bypass but people have told me and I have read about the bumping, hair loss, and so on. A friend had the sleeve and he said he can eat anything, but obviously small portions, and he he has had great success.
I am a 53 old male, what are some of your experiences with both types of surgeries?
Thanks,
Sam
