I have been morbidly obese for half my life, but it didn't keep me from doing most things until recently. When I was needing help with daily life and eating healthy but gaining weight rapidly, my husband and I decided it was time to do something I never in my life wanted to do - surgery. It's been a lot of hard work since we decided to take this journey in September, with losing 50 lbs prior to surgery and securing funding, and preparing our 6 year old for mommy to have to be in the hospital and not pick her up for 6 weeks, but I am now 1 week post surgery and I feel so happy about this decision!!!
