2 Weeks in....

The Wheels on the bus.....

Still not losing a ton of weight, Heard that Saxenda has a less expensive alternative called Ozempic,  seems to be covered under my work benefits,  Hopeing to give that a try!

I feel mostly positive,  Ive been drinking a LOT of water, which is making my body run better I am sure,  but also getting me more excercise as I make a million jogs to the bathroom! lol.

Next Bariatric appt is on May 9th. 6 weeks to go, I would love to be down 20lbs maybe 30lbs before then.

My list is still a work in progress, but still a focus of this weight loss journey

Nice Cars
Nice Clothes
Playing Golf
Going out!
Dancing!

Also, I wonder sometimes, I have put on a good face and a chipper attitude about it for YEARS....but I HATE being fat. I dont hate who I am, I dont hate what I am, i just hate the inconvienience of it. So many things normal people take for granted I am terrified of.. will the chair break? Will I fit at the table at "x" restaurant, will I fall and hurt myself or fall and be unable to get back up unassisted?

One foot in front of the other.  even if its only 1 step a day

Keto... is it my cure?

Mar 11, 2018

Ive been in Ketoacidosis (sp?) before, Once i took optifast meals instea dof real food for 2 months, lost a ton of weight and was afraid of the operation beause my primary physician was apathertic and disorganized.

Im trying to push into Keto on my own, most calcs say i need like 220g fats 20g carbs and 190g of protient.  UGH

Tryign to be move active around the house, Ive started making daily goals, clean off the entryway shelves, scrub the floors,  (LOTS of stops and breaks) Being as heavy as I am is a hinderance enough,  adding a severly disabled Knee only compunds the issue.  But I am glad to say I am feeling a bit more productive.  There is still 2 cans of Coke Zero in the fridge and I drank 3 litres of water yesterday,  ate a couple Bananas as well!

Hoping to again get 2L of water in today, be a bit more active and maybe in a week see a difference on the scales.

I have an appt. to go see a dietitcian on Tuesday, well see how that goes

Add dancing to the list...  I used to love dancing and I do still love music. A great song gives me goosebumps =)

Orientation... Mar 7 2018

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!...

Day 1.

A journey of a thousand miles starts with one to many trips to mcdonalds apparently. I love Mcdonalds, I know what the food is,  I understand the nutritional value is near nil the food is over salted under protiened and overall just not super healthy, but to me.. it just tastes good.  Therein lie my problem, I am a very fat guy who loves bland food. I dont like salt, I dont like spices, (Even basic spices) I can deal with 'em, but id prefer to avoid them

To me, food I havent tried is definately bad food. No logical reason for this, just how I am.

And man, am I lazy...  in the supidest ways. I would rather get dressed, get in my car, drive 15 minutes for fast food, drive 15 minutes home... and THEN eat. All instead of making a sandwich or having some of the green leafy stuff.

Today was a red letter day, I went to Orientation at Toronto Western Hospital. My goal.... weight loss surgery. my real goal?... 3xl or less shirts, that i dont have to order from amazon. The staff seem nice, the information well presented and straightforward. This is a tool, not a miracle drug.

Today is my 42nd birthday, I have no other issue with me except for weight and a bum knee (related to the weight no doubt!) I hope i can make it through this all right and the words on this blog do not become my farewell to the most amazing woman in the world for me. My last words written to my best friends, thich and thin theyve always been there, (mostly thick). My so long comments to my mom and my step dad and whomever else i failed to mention, Its not an academy award but ill take a few to consider the important people.

I am making a list of all the things I would like to do/accomplish/deny after weight loss surgery, here is a few for the lols...

=> Roller coasters

=> Clothes

=> Nice car!

to be continued.....
