Hello Everyone!

My name is Tina. I made the decision for WLS October 2015. After years of trying to lose weight only to regain it all over again, I decided it was time for a change. Also, turning 30 & being obese really took a toll on my body. I started noticing my health was declining quickly. I've never had high blood pressure until right before my 31st birthday last year. I also got diagnosed with fatty liver disease last year. Which, I am learniing is actually a fairly common diagnosis. However, with my family history of liver disease this is not something I am willing to accept as "normal." My surgery is scheduled for Feb 15th. My insurance required I do the 90 day nutrition counseling, I am grateful for this. I have learned a lot in just a few short months. There are days when I question my decision and try to convince myself I can do this myself without the help of surgery. As I get closer I am getting nervous about surgery. I'm not sure exactly why. I have already had 3 surgeries in my adult life, one c-section with my daughter. My family is very supportive of my decision. I am both excited and nervous.

I am hoping to gain some insight from those of you that have been there and know where I am coming from. I enjoy reading the posts and am glad to be a part of this support network. Any and all advice is appreciated.
