"Dr. Pomp was very pleasant at our first consultation. He immediately made me feel at ease. I was very nervous. Dr. Pomp explained the whole procedure I will experience from the moment I left his office. I had to get psychological clearance. I had to have an upper endoscopy done and he explained the procedure because he must have seen the look of panic in my eyes. He also requested that I get medical clearance from my asthma doctor and my endocrinologist. I also met with a nutritionist who will be consulting with me for the next two years. Dr. Pomp also explained the risks of the surgery. His office staff is nice but I feel they should be more helpful in trying to get paperwork from my other doctors offices. They expected me to get all paperwork they need to submit to my insurance. I guess they feel that if I am serious about having this surgery done, that I will do all the legwork.
So far, I am happy with Dr. Pomp and his medical assistant, Irene Herschman."
