Hi Jerri! Just a quick note to say ***CONGRATULATIONS*** on your weight loss!!! YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS DARLING! Love the long white dress that you wore on your cruise! Although I am only...almost 5 months post-op, when reading your profile...I can SO relate to your Oreo cravings around "that-time-of-the-month". I am down 80# and running my first 5K race this Sunday..and getting very nervous, I may add! Anyway....just wanted to tell you how beautiful you look and to keep up the good work! :)

Jerri...I think you need to up your calories too!!! I work out as much as you and I hit a wall on my loss. I was only getting in around 600-800 calories too. As soon as I increased my calorie intake things really started rolling again. My nutritionist told me with my activity level I should be tring to get in 1100 calories a day. Some days I do, some days I don't, but I can always tell when I didn't. I feel alot more fatigued at the end of my day. Try to get a little bit more in and see what you do.

Hi Everyone it is me. I had my surgery, Monday, Nov. 18 and came home Thursday, Nov. 21! I am doing great and recovering so easily! I'm totally relieved and amazed. Eating is going well and I've been walking daily. I'll be glad to get the residual anesthesia out of my system that makes me a bit loopy-headed and emotional at times. Read my profile for my full surgery and first week story. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I love this site! Jerri Arnold

Jerri's surgery went well. The surgery took approx 1.5 hours and she was in recovery for about the same period of time. She got to her room at noon and was up and walking the floor by 5pm. We took another walk at 8pm and another at 10pm. She was up and out the door visiting people at 7:30 this morning. The only complaint she's had up to this point is her skin itching from some of the medication she's taking. Other than that, she's doing great. She'll get her first ice chips at noon today. Jerri, I just wanted to drop by and wish you all the very best, you are probably still in surgery or in recovery right now! I want you to know that you are in the very best of hands w/ Dr. Baker and the Lord. I am praying that the Lord will watch over you and guide Dr. Baker's hands and that He will heal you and comfort you as only He can! You have become an inspiration to me since I had my surgery. I am grateful that I have found a good Christian friend like you! I wish I could come visit you while you are in the hospital like you did me, I only wished I lived closer! I'll be checking on you! I love you! Your WLS Friend!
