Joy, Been there....TWICE!! My first plateau lasted 5 weeks and what got me through it was people writing me and telling me the following: Keep eating like you ARE losing and keep moving around the house or at work and keep your spirits up....join a support group, stay busy and think positive and one day you will hop on the scale and you will be down 4 lbs........and off you go again on a losing spree!! Also, during these times when you are not losing pounds, you are probably losing inches so now is the time to take your measurements again and compare them to your pre-surgery measurements!! My second plateau only lasted 3 weeks and that was partly my fault because I discovered I could eat popcorn and I ate too much, too often. Now I allow myself popcorn only once a week at the movies and I'm losing again!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!! Keep smilin'! Lap Banding 11-25-02/down -35 lbs. !! HUGS!!!! Joy, I share your feelings. I am going through the same thing and really doubt the scale is going to move. I just feel like a failure at this. WEEKS at the same weight is not fair. It's so disappointing. I tell myself it will pick up again but honestly, I don't know about that! Just wanted to let you know you're not alone and I wish you faster loss!cat P. 21 years, 3 months ago
Thank you so much for your prayers. Im home now and doing much better. I have to go back in 2 weeks to get a Mamm., because I was to swollen and sore for them to do one. God Bless Cat PriceDawn S. 21 years, 3 months ago
