Myriam Curet

"First Impression, very nice, but she was 4 hours late for the visit, so very rushed. Last visit, 2 hours late, and she was quite rude. I felt very "told off". I said I needed to find a new exercise (as pool is getting cold). She changed my words to I am not co-operating, have stopped excersing. She couldnt care less that osteoarthritis was making walking hard, and finding a new exercise was difficult due to limited finances. She said I was not following the plan, she didnt have any positive comment. Part of this problem may be that the information is first told to an intern then conveyed to her, 2nd hand info can be misinterpreted. She didn;t say anything about my weight loss. My impression has worsened, but she is a very excellent surgeon. Maybe I got her on a bad day. Staff are OK but, they could call ahead to let you know that they are very behind. Aftercare program not very good. Support group seems to be only pre-op people. This site has been more useful, as many others have experienced food sticking, and mucus/frothfy vomiting, yet the surgeon acted as if I was a first. She really over addressed the risks. The Head of Anasesia said not to worry as she was excellent but conservative. He laughed when I said anal. Overall, I think she is an excellent surgeon, but her bedside manner needs much improvement. Met with Dr Curet in Oct 03, and this time she was much nicer. She did admit to having had a bad day, but said whatever she said must have worked as I was doing great. I felt much better this time. She is not concerned about my slow weightloss."
