This is Annette's mother.Annette had her surgery for a hernia this morning. She was to be an outpatient but the doctor had to cut her more than he wanted to so she is spending the night in hospital. She had a reaction to one of the pain med.s and now she has hives but she's in good spirits and was wanting to come home all ready. Wishing you a speedy recovery love Mom.

I went to my 3 month postop check-up yesterday. The Dr said everything looked great with the blood work, I have lost 45% of my excess weight and 56 1/2 pounds. I feel great. I go back to work on Monday the 9th. I've haven't been back to work yet, I am a machine opertor with heavy lifting. In a way I am ready to go back but in away I've enjoyed having the summer off with my kids. I've onl seen one person from work the whole time I was off. So everybody else will be surprised at my weight loss, especially the ones that were against me having the surgery in the first place. My mom has also had the surgery and she has lost 54 pounds. She has been losing her hair for a while now and I just started loding mine. I cut off about 10 inches of my hair for when I do lose it won't look that bad. It will always grow back. To many peopla are saying that I look alot better with shorter hair anyways. I told my mom that if I continuned (sp?) to lose my hair I just might go get it cut more. Maybe like a dixie cut or something. I went to my kids open house and ran into a few friends that haven't seen me since before surgery and they were amazed at my results do fast. For those of you guys that are trying to quit smoking I feel for you. I quit over an year ago, before I even decided to have this surgery. It was one of the hardest things to do in my life and there are still times when I want to smoke and there are times when it still in your head a certain song or a certain activtity that you do will tigger it. Keep up the good work. My prayers and thoughts are with you. For those that are going into surgery Good Luck my prayers and thoughts are with you. Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
