"I have not met Dr. Freeman yet, but have heard wonderful things about him. I have been researching this process for a while now, as well as doctors that perform this type of surgery. I was real impressed with all of Dr. Freeman's credentials. I said a prayer that God would lead me to the right place, and the moment I got to his office I felt that my prayer was answered. Everybody there was so nice. The atmosphere is what really opened my eyes. God's presence was really strong there. There were sculptures of Jesus everywhere. It was as if Jesus was trying to tell me that everything was ok, and that I would be in good hands. Another big asset about Dr. Freeman was that he had the surgery himself. Who better could relate to you than a person who has been there themself.
April 2, 2003 - finally met Dr. Freeman. It was such a wonderful meeting. He met with me and many others regarding the surgery. He was very upfront and truthful about everything. I was really impressed. He explained the surgery process and throughly went over all the risks and complications. He said that he has performed 417 gastric bypass operations, and through the grace of God and his wonderful work, he has not lost one patient. That is so wonderful. He seems to take this very serious, and that is important. Especially if you are going to trust the person who is going to cut you open, you definetly want to be in good hands. I was really worried up until I finally met him, and that day he eased all my fears. I know this is not going to be easy, but having a doctor that you can trust in, is going to make the journey worth taken. Thank you Dr. Freeman for the prayer you prayed to our Lord, because without him in our lives nothing would be possible. "
