Thank you so much to all of you who responded in posts and emails to my frustration yesterday over surgery delays. Thanks largely to you, I am feeling much better about my situation today. I will keep all of your positive thoughts and advice in mind as I wait for surgery on Monday. Your caring words have meant so much to me. Thanks again, Beth

Dear Beth. Look at it as you are lucky to have surgery in a hospital that have the right priorities, let that be a comforting thought to you (they would do the same if you needed it). I will pray that everything will go smooth and that you wont experience any waiting time or be send home again. I hope you will have a blessed recovery and that we will hear from you again soon. I understand your feelings...hugs

Beth, I'll share with you something someone quoted me while I was feeling frustrated with delays. It is a Hewbrew expression (so I'm told) that says, ""Kol HaAkava LeTova." It means ""every delay is for the best." I trust that whatever delays you face will work out for the best. "It is my prayer that you may do well in all things, and be healthy in body. 3 John 1:2" Best wishes!

Hang in there, it will be soon, scheduling of the OR does seem alittle unorganized, but this does happen, my thoughts are with you for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery, God Bless

Hi Beth! Sorry to hear of the scheduling conflicts you're having to deal with--I can understand your frustration. Maybe you could view it like the old saying goes: Nothing worth having is easily gained. Just keep it in your mind that you WILL be having the surgery when it is right for everyone involved. I know it's hard to wait...but maybe you'll look back at it and say, "Boy, Im glad I waited!" Good Luck to you- you will be in my thoughts!

My WLS is scheduled for Monday, and I'm so frustrated! My surgery time has been changed from 11 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m., and now they may even have to cancel my surgery after I arrive and wait for two hours. They've scheduled an emeergency surgery before me, and they estimate that it will take approximately 5 hours; however, no one knows for sure how long it really will take. So I have to be there and get ready (which means my family members will be there also) with the possibility that I won't even get to have surgery that day. BTW my surgery date has already been changed once. This is not the way it should be. I understand about the emergency surgery, but that doesn't make this any less frustrating. I've been so excited about this surgery, and now I just want to get it done and over with. Am I being unreasonable? Please God, just let me have a safe surgery on Monday. Any responses will be much appreciated.
