09/04/03 - Hey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. But here I am safe and sound almost 2 weeks post op. oh by the way 24 pounds down. I lost that 24 in the first 5 days and haven't lost a pound since. That's okay though. PLATEAU! At least the first 24 is gone. I am finally feeling better now. I've been dragging all week. Just feeling generally crappy. Today is better and I hope tomorrow will be even better. I'm walking around the block 2 times twice a day now. My husband says the weight has to come off sooner or later. Just be patient. Thanks for all the support and calls. I really appreciated them. especially Delores. You are really an angel. more later....

I called and checked on Margaret last night. I had to wait to talk to her because she was already walking the hospital halls. She sounded great and surgery went well. She said the pain wasn't really bad, and it all was easier than she thought it would be. Isn't that wonderful? Happy Dance for Margaret!!!

Hey all!! It's Sunday night and I am so excited I can't sleep. Been going to the bathroom all day getting ready (if you know what I mean). Just a word for all the pre-ops out there --- When you go to buy the magnesium citrate get the cherry flavor. Propst Drugs carries it all the time. WOW!! And don't forget to chill it. It really wasn't bad at all. Just getting all the bubbles down, that was the hard part. But I guess it needs to bloat your stomach out so that it cleans everything. Still all in all not a bad experience. Wel I guess I better try to go to sleep. Gotta get the kids to school in the morning before I go to start my new improved life tomorrow. HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!! Love to all and thanks again for all the support. God Bless Dr. F and all his staff and all of you too.

I'm so excited for you! You are on your way to living your life on your terms! In some ways, we're given a gift, going through this can teach us just how precious life truly is, and not to take good health and 'normal' size for granted. And most of all, not to waste it, but to savor life and live it to the fullest. Kudos to you, and your new life! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers Monday.
