Brooke I'm so glad you are home and doing good. The gas pain will go away. I've had 2 c-sections and had really bad trapped gas on the second one. As bad as it sounds ya gotta burp and fart as much as you can. LOL and walking really helped me get rid of it. It might be different with the bypass verses the c-section but I would imagine the pain would be similar. I tried to email this all to you but it said I couldn't. I will be joining your on the losing side on Wed. and I'm excited. You're mom is the day after me but I will be in Modesto. I pray that she does as well as you do.

Hello everyone! This is Brooke. I'm home now. I was released yesterday (Saturday) at 11:30 AM. Everything went great. No complications or major pains. The only thing I am struggling with is the trapped gas that will hopefully pass soon. Other than that I feel much better than I expected to feel. Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers of support for my surgery. I really appreciate it. I look forward to seeing my progress these next few weeks so now I can join the rest of you losers! Thank you again to everyone and I'll be seeing you at the next support group meeting!

This is Brooke's husband Mark, just wanted to let everyone know her surgery went very well. She is feeling pretty good with some minor gas pain which is to be expected. I am very proud of her to be walking two times on the first day of surgery. Dr. Coirin did a great job on the surgery and we couldn't have picked a better doctor than him.
