"After reading all the profiles of his current patients, I knew Dr. Schreiber wasn't going to be all warm and fuzzy, and he wasn't. He was cordial, but emotionless. He made sure I fully understood the risks and benefits of gastric bypass surgery, that I knew how the surgery would be performed, and what my role was in making sure the surgery succeeded to help me achieve the weight loss I desire. As another patient put it so aptly, "you don't have to invite the surgeon to dinner, just have confidence in them as being capable and excellent in what they do"...after meeting Dr. Schreiber I think he is fully capable and qualified to do my surgery. Who knows, maybe I'll get him to smile at some point! I'll let you know what I think of his bedside manner, once I get that far. Right now, I'm on the joyous ride called "waiting for insurance approval"...Woo-Hoo!"
