I am writing to say that Roselle Volpe-Black, my cousin and best friend, passed away on April 14, 2006, she did not die from WLS. She was a wonderful person and spoke highly of Dr. Abdkin and his staff. She acheived a successful weight loss and the world I live in has less laughter since she left this earthly plane, but heaven and our family members that had gone before her are probably besides themselves with joy of welcoming her home to eternal peace. RIP dear Roselle, I have come out on the other side and will now pursue my own better quality of living through WLS.

Hi Everyone that wrote me well wishes. I have to apologize I haven't been on this site in a very long time. So much has happened to me. I lost friends and relatives. I had spine surgery and have a disability. My marriage ended and I am presently in the process of divorce. My heart has been broken over and over again. Although my heart is breaking I am doing much better now. My daughter, grandson and my son have since moved away. I am living alone. I can't say I mind. I am for the first time in my life alone. I am making the best of it. My life has changed dramatically and I hope the future will reveal why. No matter what it is up to God and I trust in Him. I know things will be all right and happiness is coming my way. Peace already has arrived. I just wanted to let you know that all your well wishes didn't go unappreciated. I just had a terrible few years. The one good thing is that I am a new person after losing my weight and I feel good about myself. I just pray for a good future. I plan to live and love and be happy. I hope you are all well and happy..God Bless...RJ

Hi Everyone, I am now on the other side, four days post-op!!!! Thanks to all your well wishes and wonderful emails, I felt a tremendous amount of support which helped me sail through my journey to the other side with much more ease. Thanks and God Bless to all of you. RJ

A great big Thanks to everyone. Your well wishes are so very much appreciated. Tomorrow is the Big Day!! Today is prep day, I just heard from the hospital all is a go. I will be back to let you all know how I did. God Bless you all. :-)
