"Dr. Nicholas Bertha was my surgeon and he has been great! He was very concerned about me and what I was thinking concerning the surgery. He makes sure he takes the time to really see how you're doing and answer any questions you or your family may have.
I'm very impressed with the program that Dr. Bertha and Dr. Abkin have set up (my daughter had the same surgery performed by Dr. Abkin). Their Program Coordinator, Ms. Mary Meola is wonderful. She's very knowledgeable about the surgery and ready to answer any questions the patient may have. They encourage the patient's family members participation. They make sure that each patient goes thru a thorough physical and mental review before surgery to make sure each patient is in the best possible health prior to surgery. Their after care has been very thorough also; bloodwork, nutrient concerns, etc. have been good. The response to my concerns have been taken seriously and calls were returned quickly. "
