Since surgery I haven't been on this site much. I have gotten a job that keeps me very busy. I just wanted to give an update on my progress. I found updates so encouraging before my surgery. I had my surgery May 14, 2002. Soon it will be my six month anniversary. I'm 5'2" and weighed 296lbs. I had the open/distal procedure. Todays weight is 193lbs. Total weight loss is 103lbs. I feel like a new person. I thank God for this surgery, its truly a BLESSING! I wish everyone waiting for surgery the very best, its worth the wait. God Bless!

Angel reporting.....I finally have been able to touch base with D. Since her surgery she has been feeling so wonderful that she never seems to be home!!! I am so proud of her. She has lost 55 lbs. Isn't that incredible???? I am looking forward to meeting with her again. Hopefully soon. She is the sweetest thing. Way to go D!!!! You are awesome.

I'M HOME. I MADE IT TO THE LOSING SIDE. I had open Rny on Tuesday. I'm sore but so glad its over. I'm trying so hard to get my liquids in. I have been running a low grade temp off and on. It hasnt been higher than 100.1 in the last couple of days. When I first came home today I felt wonderful. Now I'm so tired and sore. Alot for the first day home. I will update later on this week when I feel up to it. God bless!

Today D's mom said she is still doing well. Had the leak test - no leaks!!! She has walked up the hallway twice today! D still may get out of the hospital on Saturday. Keep her in your prayers, please!

Just talked to Dianne's father and she is doing well! Out of ICU and in her room. Yesterday her mother told me that if she continued to do well, she could get out as early as Saturday.
