Best of luck to you. It sounds like you are all prepared with your freezer full!!! It will make it easier. I know I did not have the strength to fix things for myself. Luckily I have a wonderful husband and he took great care of me and then it was my turn to take care of him. We both had WLS in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 270 lbs. What a wonderful difference it has made in our lives. We both hope you have the greatest success and a problem free recovery.

I can't believe how quickly time is passing. I have about one month to go and the days are flying by me. I've got much to do at work to make sure things are taken care of as I have two large projects that come to fruition in June and July. I realize timing wasn't good in terms of work but I didn't care. I haven't once ever seen a headstone in a cemetary that read "I wished I spent more time in the office." This whole process is about what is good for me. I am amazed at the support that I have received from my friends and family. I'm sure there are some who are leery about this procedure but I make sure they understand that I am well-researched and completely understand what is involved. I think, for the most part, the people who know me and care for me, would like to see me feeling better and healthy. The only comments that were of a negative issue have come through a friend of my sister who so smugly pointed out to me that she had seen Carnie Wilson on some talkshow recently and she was saying that she is depressed and is having some emotional issues. I pointed out to her that Carnie Wilson had many emotional problems and family issues and that she had grown up in a very dysfunctional family and that more than likely her depression is related more to her emotional issues. I am beginning to stockpile my freezer with homemade broths and pureed soups/foods so that it will be easier for me after I get home. Over these past few weeks I have cut down on soft drinks, increased my water intake and have reduced the amounts of fatty types of food. Am I sounding like a boyscout or what? :> I can do this. I believe. I'm looking forward.
