I have made it to the other side! I am 3 days post op and doing well. My first day post-op was rough, but I have improve tenfold each day. I can't believe how much better I feel every day. I got a shower today, too! Thanks for all of the prayers, good wishes and emails! I appreciate them.

Hi Everyone, Last night was a hard night. Beth had a fever and a headache. They gave her Tylenol and she finally was able to settle down. She said she fell asleep around 1:00 and slept until 7:00ish. Today she had a much better day. She said she showered this morning and at that point realized she was feeling much better over yesterday. Pat went to visit her this afternoon and she rested the rest of the day away. Getting in a few strolls around the wing. She was able to drink 30cc's of water every hour. She was getting a little broth (1 oz) and maybe some jello (2 oz) for dinner. Well that is all I have for you. More tomorrow.

Hi Everyone, Beth had a tough day today. The good news is she passed her "leak" test. Unfortunately, every time Beth would try and sit in a complete upright position she would become dizzy and nauseous. She also had a bit of a headache. By this evening they made Beth get up and walk. Once she started, she was a maniac on the lose. She whipped around the wing three times. Once she did that you could see a big difference in her coloring and energy level. After my support group meeting at the hospital tonight I went up to say good night and she asked me to walk with her around the wing again. She was able to do it twice. This is a great accomplishment.

Hi Everyone, I'm Beth's angel and I am here to tell you she is doing wonderfully. Before she even came to in recovery the tube down the throat was removed. Last night she called me to tell me how well she was feeling. I'm so proud of her. I'm leaving for the hospital right now, 10/15 9:12 AM, for a visit. I'll update more later.

Hi everyone... thanks for your prayers and good wishes! I have partaken of the Fleet Phospho-soda and am now spending my last day as a pre-op on the toilet! My surgery is tomorrow morning (Tuesday, the 14th) at 10:00 a.m. My husband and MNBF, Melanie, will be there with me. I can't believe how close the time is and how soon I will become a loser (like Melanie). Thanks again and I can't wait to update when I'm a postie!!
