Memorial Hospital

"I'm a nurse, for almost 20 years now. I know good nursing care vs. poor nursing care. This was some of the poorest care I've seen or experienced. I would never recommend anyone to go to this hospital for surgery! There was one day where it took 30 minutes (no exaggeration!) for my call bell to be answered. My IV had run out, as well as my pump. A nurse from another district, who had passed my door a number of times, finally came in, then went to find my nurse. I said to her "Boy, you must have a lot of patients" to which she responded "Nope, only 3 besides you. It's a light day". Well! Needless to say, I was not happy. Another especially bad moment came at my discharge. I asked for pain medication before leaving to go home, as I wanted something to hold me until I had my prescriptions filled, plus it was a long drive. The nurse didn't want to give me any medication, so I asked to see her supervisor, then she decided to give me the medication. Can you imagine?"

David Greenbaum

"My first impression of Dr. Greenbaum was that he cared. My impression has not changed over time, except that rather than suspecting that he cares, now I KNOW he does. The ladies in his office are superb at what they do, following up on my appointments and keeping close track of everything. He is very honest about what the surgery can and cannot do, and also about the risks involved. He has been there for me whenever I needed him. After my initial consultation, we spoke on the telephone and I told him I was consulting with several other surgeons. He thought that was great, and even gave me the names of other surgeons that I hadn't heard of. I wonder how many other doctors would do that? His main concern is that the surgery be done as safely as possible. He is putting together a formal support group that will be open to the public. It's quite a drive for me to use Dr. Greenbaum, but I'd gladly go even further than I do. He was definitely the right doctor for me! Thanks, Dr. Thin!"
