Hi Anne, I'm sorry to hear that you aren't getting a lot of support from your family. But hang in there because we are all behind you. Just keep thinking positive and you will see that everything will be fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

anne, for me the fear was REAL before my surgery and the whole wls consumed me. i think as a mother are fears are mostly for our children but i'll be 6 wks out on tur and doing GREAT 0 problems so far and down 36 lbs. once i woke up the fear was gone even though i didnt know what may lie ahead. i pray God will watch over you and keep you safe and the pressure from your family will lesson and they will have a heart of understanding Glenda berry

Finally. I have all my pre op testing dates set. There was a mix up regarding the upper GI. I am having my pre op tests done through my PCP, not the surgeon. My PCP's nurse wasn't sure if I "needed an Xray upper GI, or a scope". Now correct me if I am wrong, but there is only one type of upper GI right?! The 'scope' is called an Endoscope, not to be confused with an Upper GI. So things are trucking along. 28 days and counting! Good luck to all those who are having surgery. Bless you all! Annie

Anne, good luck with your surgery. We are having surgery the same day! I'm getting more nervous the closer I get. I will keep you in my prayers. I'm have a distal RNY. We'll have to compare post op stories to see how they differ. Good luck!

Hi Anne God Bless you and be with you as we have our surgery Aug.9 I am having the duodenal switch on the same day in Winston Salem NC. I am so excited and i thank God for allowing me the chance to get control of my life. I will be praying for you. God Bless you.

Hello AMOS family!! I sure hope I did this right! I am posting on my surgical page to make sure I know how to do this when it comes time for the big day! My surgery date is August 9th! I will be having surgery at Sianai Samaratain Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. I'll be having a Lap Proximal RnY. I don't have an angel just yet. If there is anyone who would like to be one, please let me know! That's all for now. Annie
