Hello Sheri - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you have got to be a basket of emotions. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Sure, there can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in the thoughts and prayers of many for a successful and uneventful surgery. : ) <i>"NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!!" </i> .....Hugs and Smiles

Hi Sheri, I saw your post about beign scared - afraid you might "leave" your kids and loved ones. First, your feelings are completely normal. Share them with your husband and even your eldest child - they know more thatn we give them credit for. Secondly, it's easy to focus on the scary profiles. For every one with complications there are 9 others with none. People that have pain, discomfort, vomitting, nausea - shouldn't be considered as complications - they are side effects and should be expected. Remember, you are doing this to improve your health but you may have to jump a few uncomfortable hurdles before you get to the great benefits you will reap from having the surgery. Even when people have serious complications they almost always say they would do it again in a heart beat. You have chosen to give yourself and you loved ones a truely courageous and wonderful gift. And what a strong message of love you can send to your husband and children. The alternative is not pretty, believe me, I've been almost 500 lbs for 15 years and have suffered the horrible health repercussions for it. I'm going to join you on the losing side October 13th of this year so I do know what you are tlking about with the anxiety. I accept it as part of the process. Share the load with others. Take care of yourself and don't forget to ask for help when you need it! HUGS, HUGS and more HUGS!!!
