"I opted for a private room so relatives could assist me during my stay so that might contribute slightly to my high marks for the hospital since my family took care of many of my personal needs. Of all of the caregivers in the hospital all rate excellent except one that I would rate average. Overall, it was a very positive experience."
"My first visit was with Dr. Alexander on 2-20-03 and the wait was nearly 3 hrs but worth it, (I had been forewarned.) The doctor is a very friendly, engaging man who emphasized the positives of the surgery. He answered every question I had and sold me and my husband on the spot.(We had planned to make a decision after the consultation not during the visit.) I scheduled all my pre tests on that very day and they were all performed within 2 wks. Dr. Alexander assured me my ins. would approve the surgery because of health issues I had and the fact I was so much overweight. The office wait is the most negative thing but I find it very useful because his waiting room is full of people just like me but in different stages. Someone helps me that has been post-op longer than me and I help someone who is considering surgery. Dr. did address the risks of surgery but they are minimal compared to the advantages. I followed all of his instructions pre and post-op and everything went just as he said it would. I think he is great and I recommend Dr. Alexander to everyone that asks(and some that don't ask). He is highly skilled and he had to go out of town right after my surgery but Dr. Taylor, who assisted in my surgery, visited me every day in hospital and he was great. Everyone involved in my surgery was superior and I give credit to Dr. Alexander for that because he is the best."
