"I have my first consultation with Dr. Hoddinott on June 4th. My appointment got moved out for several weeks but there was a cancellation so I got it moved back up. Dr. Hoddinott was wonderful! I feel extremely comfortable with him and trust his knowledge and experience. He is very personable and answered all my questions. The staff at his offcie was very easy to work with. Phyllis who does the insurance paperwork was topnotch and very friendly. I felt that everyone was doing their best to take care of me. In the hospital Dr. H was very comforting prior to surgery and checked in with me every day in the hosptial. He doesn't offer too much info if you don't ask so be sure to ask questions if you have them. He is very intent upon explaining that you shouldn't eat too much post op and to take it slow and keep it soft. He believes in keeping the pouch small so your intake does not need to be large. I highly recommend that people follow their Dr's advice vs. using all the resources from the Internet initially. As I learned, each Dr. each surgery and each patient are different. One Dr. may recommend something different because their procedure is a little different. Dr. H knows what is best for his patients and that should be followed. Phyllis is wonderfully supportive and has been there for me each time I called. Overall Dr H's staff, his competency and his bedside manner are great!"
