"Dr. Richards is great!! He is not "warm and fuzzy" but he is kind and very professional, and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. I feel very confident to be under his care. The staff at the Center for Human Nutrition is the best! I am a nurse, and I have heard both good and bad about Vanderbilt. But I can honestly say that everyone I have encountered, and I mean everyone, has been as nice as you could ask for. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards and Vanderbilt!
Update: One week before my surgery, I got a call from Dr. Richards' nurse to inform me that he had been in an accident and would not be able to perform my surgery; however, Dr. Torquati, who is in the office with him, had volunteered to help Dr. Richards out. I consented for Dr. Torquati to do my surgery and found that I liked him just as well, if not better, than Dr. Richards. Dr. Torquati is very caring and seems to have a gentle manner."
