Dear Jackie~~~CONGRATULATIONS on your phenomenal progress in three months. I had my DS one year ago-I would do it again in a NOO YAWK minute. Like you, I think it is the best thing that I could have done for myself. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God continue to hold you in the hollow of His hand. Be well, be happy. Hello to everyone, I just went for my 3 month follow up with Dr. Keshishian and I am sooooo happy to say I have lost 49 pounds. I was laid off in January from my job of 16 years, I just turned 50 this month and I have lost now, 53 pounds and you know what? Life couldn't be better. I am feeling great. I get in my protein and water. I am starting to loose just a little hair. I have gone from a size 26-28 to a size 20. I have a pair size 18 pants that fit snugly. I am so blessed to have such a supportive network of people, thank you Lord. Where ever you are in your journey, may you be blessed with support, love and good health.

Shame on me for not posting sooner. It was just that my time was so comsumed with getting in my fluids and proteins that I could hardly focus on anything else. Surgery was Novmeber 9th and as of 3 weeks, I am down 22 pounds. Surgery went fine, only thing was nausea. Had staples and JP tubes out at 11 days and all went fine. Got home on November 19th and that was soooo wonderful. Was able to start sleeping in a bed when I got to the hotel right out of the hospital. Would sleep till about 3 AM and then would sleep another couple of hours in the chair. Since being home, I can sleep in my bed all night long and can now enjoy sleeping on my side quiet well. I start off each morning with a protein supplement drink and am able to get in the remainder throughout the day. I also feel more comfortable with getting in my liquids. There are two very important people who I must thank. First, my angel, Christine Garman. Christine, you have been such a wonderful and generous angel. You kept in touch with me at the hospital, hotel and since I have been home, as well as pre-surgery. Your encouragement and advice has been never ending and you have always shown patience when I call and ask for HELP! You are an angel and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And second, but by no means, second, my husband Eric. How can I ever thank you enough for being there for me through everything. Your support is like none I have ever known. Your love is like love I have never known. You are my love and my soul mate and I thank God every day for you. I love you so very much, today, tomorrow and always. We have a lifetime together for me to thank you and support you. I love you Poppa Bear. Will update more later.... till then...

Good morning all, I spoke with Jackie last night, and she almost sounded Perky! She has been up and walking frequently, coming off her pain meds quickly, and didn't even need a nap yesterday. She should be discharged to the hotel today and be on her way home by Friday or Saturday. Please keep her in your prayers. Great job Jackie! Till later...
