Hi Everyone!! I'm home finally!!!! I want to thankyou for all the prayers sent my way!!!! The doctors and staff at Naval Medical Portsmouth were absolutly fantastic. Dr. Spencer and Dr.Newman and the team were great. I can't praise them enough on the treatment I recieved in their care. It was far and beyond the call of duty!! I can't thank everyone enough!! Will write more later!!!!

I talked to Lisa today. She was not moved from ICU on tuesday as planned. She had a few complications. Her lungs filled with fluid and she had to be suctioned regularly and she was running a slight temperature. She did get moved from ICU yesterday. She sounded really good and said she may be going home tomorrow at least she hopes so! She said she feels pretty good aside from 1 painful staple!

1/8 8:00 pm, Lisa's husband just called me. Lisa was in sugery from 11:10 - 4:30 today and she is now in ICU. She is doing fine and should be moved to her regular room sometime tomorrow. The doctor started doing her surgery "lap" but had to change it to open but she did fine. I hope to talk to her tomorrow or the next day and will update more then. WAY TO GO LISA!!

Hi Lisa, thanks for the well wishes...I will be praying for everyone who is having wls this Monday. We should let each other know how we're doing a few weeks from now. My surgery is on Monday also....I'm ready for it to be over!! Remember ... the LORD is your shepherd ..... Lisa, what a wonderful way to start the new year! Good luck to you and believe me, it will be worth it in the end. I am 13 weeks postop and have lost almost 60 pounds so far. It was kinda rough at first but you will do great!! I am in Norfolk and if you are up to it, I could visit you in the hospital. If it isn't too weird meeting a total stranger like that. Anyway, take care and good luck to you.
