"I've met with Dr. Geiss twice, once for consultation on the adjustable gastric band procedure and then for my pre-op visit.
Don't be suprised if your first appointment is rescheduled at the last minute or if your appointment time changes at some point. Both happened to me. On the other hand, I didn't have to wait long to see him once I was in the waiting room, he personally came out to escort patients to his office, and I never felt rushed while I was speaking to him.
Dr. Geiss was very soft spoken and low-key. He was also friendly, approachable, informative, and easy to understand. He used a powerpoint presentation to describe the procedure and even had an actual band/device in his office that I could manipulate to see how it worked. He answered my questions thoroughly and didn't gloss over any of the risks or complications related to surgery.
His office staff (Andrea and Liz) is wonderful, VERY nice and helpful. Every time my husband or I have called with a question or concern, they've been more than willing to help us. In fact, we telephoned them to death the week before surgery, and they were nothing but patient, helpful, and supportive. Major thanks and kudos go their way."
