"My first impression of Dr. Shapiro is that he believes very much in the service he provides. He took a personal interest in me and answered all of my questions in detail. He is very amiable and confident. I feel comfortable entrusting him with my life. I asked if he required the patient to lose weight before surgery, He smiled and said, "If you could lose the weight, you would have. I put no such pressure on you."
His Program Coordinator, Karen, is top-notch. She is a joy to work with and always makes you feel like you are the only patient in the world. Couldn't ask for better!!!
I have heard that the aftercare program is wonderful but that Dr. Shapiro comes across very clinical rather than showing an engaging bedside manner. I've seen the man laugh and feel confident I can make him laugh again. Now if he can just get past me calling him "Dr. Bob"!"
